Internal Subject Matter Expert
I plan on interviewing Mr. Mathis. He teaches history and also incorporates art history into his classes, which film sometimes falls under. He also taught German and knows about german culture. I want to discuss German film, specifically The Cabinet of Caligari which is heavily influential in the German expressionist style of horror. It also reflects society at the time, and some consider it to have predicted Nazism in Germany.
Question Ideas:
1. What about The Cabinet of Caligari makes it such a significant film in the history of horror cinema?
2. In what ways do you think film can be used to portray events in history?
3. Do you think the horror genre specifically is an effective lens to view events in history?
4. Why do you think people are drawn to certain themes in horror?

I do not have a specific external subject matter expert yet, but I am planning on speaking with someone who is a fan of horror cinema. I want to learn more about what attracts people to these types of films and how they think horror cinema is relevant to today's world.
Question Ideas:
1. What do you like about the horror film genre, and what do you think attracts people to it?
2. What horror themes do you find most fascinating? (Ex. paranormal, slasher, etc.)
2. Are there any movies you have seen recently that you think are relevant to events today?
3. What do you think horror cinema will look like In the future?
